All staff at Pukka Beginnings are experienced and trained child care professionals. In addition, each holds CPR and First Aid certifications, and has passed all state background checks.
Christin Tran, Director, is an internationally trained and certified expert in prenatal and child care. She received her training through the Association Montessori International (AMI) in California and London. Christin has more than 25 years of teaching experience with infants, toddlers and preschoolers from a variety of cultural backgrounds. She is also a mother of two and is currently completing studies related to children with special needs.
Lily Tu has been with Pukka Beginnings since 2000. She was a teacher for young children in China. She completed her ECE degree from West Valley College, and is a mother of three.
Shianna Huynh has her Associate Science Degree from San Jose State University and her ECE Degree from De Anza College. She has been with Pukka Beginnings since 2009. She is one of our Infant Community teachers.
Thuy Tran is continuing ECE courses from West Valley College. She has been with Pukka Beginnings since 2008. Thuy is currently a teacher's aide in the Children's House.
Quyen Tran has been with Pukka Beginnings since 2000. He has his ECE (Early Childhood Education) from West Valley College. He is our physical education coordinator, and works with the children on gross motor skills and sports games.
Lien Nguyen has been with Pukka Beginnings since 2003. She previously taught first and second grades in Vietnam for more than 20 years. She has her ECE from San Jose City College. Lien works with Pukka's infants in Infant Community.
